In 1893, the Wuethrich family journeyed from Switzerland to the fertile land of Greenwood, Wisconsin, driven by a dream: to establish a dairy business focused on top-quality products.

Through ingenuity, hard work, and determination, John Wuethrich rose to lead a growing local creamery that crafted butter from nearby farms’ milk. In 1911, he realized his dream, becoming the sole owner of Creamery Co., now known as Grassland Dairy Products, Inc.

Over a century of operation, Grassland’s legacy endures. Our family company expanded gradually, with our products embraced nationwide, establishing Grassland as a renowned brand in food service and retail.
